Captree State Park
is located and the East end of Jones Beach on Ocean Highway, this
road ends in our parking lot. The Garloo is on the right side of the
parking lot in slip #5. Backed into the dock for easy loading.

East-bound)

- Long Island Expressway
(LIE) to exit 38 South onto the Meadowbrook Pkwy, when you cross
over the Meadowbrook Bridge you will
be on Ocean Highway, this is Jones Beach. Keep heading East and
follow this road around the water needle and continue to the end of
the road about 10 miles, into our parking lot at CAPTREE BOAT BASIN.
Go to the right side of the parking lot to berth #5.
From the east from
all Ferries
(Route 495 West-bound)
- Heading west to
exit 53 south (exits 54, 53& 52 are combined)
follow south on the (Sagtikos Parkway) to the Southern State Parkway
stay to the right, head West bound travel about 1 mile to exit 40
South onto Robert Moses Causeway. Follow the signs to CAPTREE BOAT
BASIN. Go to the right
side of the parking lot to berth #5.
If you arrive the evening
before a dive bring with you a sleeping bag and pillow. If the park
attendant or park police stop you, tell them you are leaving early
in the morning on the Garloo and you have permission of the captain
to board.
